Rodrigo Ambrosio Flores
Furniture and Urban Applications
Rodrigo Ambrosio Flores García (Tampico, 1992) is a designer currently working as Leader of Furniture and Urban Applications Projects at the landscape an urban design firm Ecotono Urbano in Monterrey.
He’s been a part of collective expositions of photography and industrial design in Mexico and was a part of the first edition of the design event Abierto Mexicano de Diseño with KER, a result of the design workshop A la mexicana. Since then he has also been selected a winner of a number of national an international awards, such as the A! Diseño Award, winning silver mentions for consecutive years, and the iF Student Design Award, celebrated in Hamburg. He graduated summa cum laude in May 2017 from CEDIM with a bachelor of Industrial Design and is currently attending the Master in Business Innovation at the same institution.
His strengths and passions as an industrial designer are research, 3d modelling and prototyping. He is mesmerized by mechanical systems, parametric design and discovering new materials. He believes in a constant improving and seizes every chance possible to learn something new.
